What's the process for preparing my tax return as a potential new customer?

First and foremost, schedule a call to get acquainted. During this call, you can expect to discuss your current financial and employment situation, tax needs, and a brief summary of financial goals. Once both Bender CPA and you decide it’s a good fit, an email invitation will be sent to access and set up an account in our customer portal.

Once you are in the portal, we will ask you to upload your tax return from the previous year as a baseline to use in combination with your phone conversation to quote services.

Upon receiving your quote, you’ll have the choice to select one of three service tier packages or build your own à la carte and authorize payments through our GoCardless account for easy and timely payment processing.

Now the work begins by uploading requested documents and, depending on your purchased package, meeting to discuss your return and E-Sign your taxes. Bada-bing, bada-boom, we e-file with the IRS with an email confirmation to ease your mind!

How long does it take to file my taxes?

We promise a 10 business day turnaround from the date you submit your final documents. You will receive an email confirmation thanking you for uploading all the necessary materials and then… the 10 day countdown begins.

How do I choose a plan?

Consider where you are in your life, where your business or family is. How involved do you want or need to be with your taxes and overall business finances?

Most people find taxes overwhelming because they don’t understand tax law or the tax compliance process.

An easy way to think about it is the more you plan, the more you save.

Why is the Premium package recommended?

For current customers, the Premium package is most similar to the level of service you’re used to receiving with a 45 minute tax review meeting for better insights and planning for next year.

For new customers, it’s important to not only complete your taxes every year but to have a comprehensive understanding of where your money is going, learn about investment opportunities, and potential savings. The more you know, the more you plan, the more money you save!

We work hard to serve and give you the peace of mind you deserve! Understanding that if you are not satisfied with our service, we will either refund the price or accept a portion of said price that reflects your level of value received.

What if there’s not a specific package that fits my needs?

This one’s easy… we offer an à la carte selection so you can add to or build your own service package using Essential as your base! Keep an eye on the extras you are tagging on though- you save money by bundling services into one of our pre-made packages (Premium and Concierge).

How do I upgrade my package if I need your help in the middle of the year?

You can upgrade or add à la carte service items at any time throughout the year by sending us an email.

How do I pay?

Direct Debit via GoCardless is now our preferred payment method. You’ll be notified before each payment is taken and your payments are protected, so you’re guaranteed a refund if a payment was ever taken in error. We think you’ll find it easier to pay through GoCardless, and it helps our business too.
